Cosmetic Risks of Rhinoplasty
Video transcript: As opposed to medical risks, cosmetic risks are really changes in the appearance of the nose that are either unexpected or unwanted. This is very rare when we use computer imaging pre-operatively. Patients are educated in what changes are physically possible, and I'll show them what that looks like with computer imaging before the surgery.
For example if we're going to take someone's bridge down, we want to show them how much we're going to take it down with computer imaging beforehand so they know what to expect. It's always possible for some minor irregularities to occur as a result of the healing process that we can't predict, but most of them can be repaired secondarily if need be.
