Are You Ready for Surgery?
How do I know if someone's ready for cosmetic surgery? It's really part of the interview process and part of the consultation process. I like to see that people have done research, that they understand how the surgery works, that they have a good grasp of what the potential risks might be. It's a process that they have to be fairly involved with as well. They do have to look after themselves; they have to follow the post operative instructions, take post operative medications, and they need to prepare adequately. I do have to be sure they're committed to looking after themselves after surgery, and they are committed to trying understand how the procedure works and what to expect.
