What If I Don't Have a Caretaker or Ride Home From My Rhinoplasty Surgery?
The medications that are administered during your rhinoplasty may impair your ability to drive home safely after surgery. This is why Dr. Buonassisi's patients are requested to arrange a friend or family members to be their caretaker following surgery and give them a ride home. If you don't have people in the Vancouver area to call upon, or you prefer to keep the surgery very private, you can ask us to arrange a personal escort for you. Your caretake escort will drive you home from surgery and stay with you for a few hours after to ensure you are settled in and safe.
Is there a cost for this service?
Yes this is a private service and costs roughly $30 an hour. Please speak to your patient care manager if you have any questions or would like us to arrange a caretake escort for you.
Can't I just take a taxi home?
Sorry but we can't let you go home in a taxi unless you are accompanied by a caretaker. A responsible person must be assigned to you to get you home safely and stay with you after surgery.
